If Borneo Rainforest Lodge is out of budget, these are your two remaining options — and the choice between them is less about comfort than about exactly where you'll be staying.

Why Infapro exists
Infapro sits in the Ulu Segama Forest Reserve, directly bordering Danum Valley Conservation Area, and is an active forest rehabilitation project that's been running since 1992. It's not primary forest — it was logged before restoration began — but wildlife moves freely between it and the conservation area proper, so sightings can still be excellent.
Why choose the Field Centre instead
If being inside the actual, never-logged conservation area matters to you, the Field Centre is the budget option that gets you there. It also tends to suit longer stays better, since its per-night cost drops the more nights you book.
If your trip is short (3–4 days) and budget is the priority, Infapro is efficient. If you have 4–5 days and want to say you stayed inside the actual protected primary forest, the Field Centre is worth the small premium.
